Red Wines

Merlot
A wine with a ruby red colour and a distinctive, attractive nose reminiscent of raspberry. The palate is dry and balanced, with a faint bitterish note in the finish. A fine accompaniment for roasts, white meat, red meat, stews or grilled meat. Serve at a temperature of 16-18°C, after allowing the wine to breathe for a couple of hours beforehand.

Cabernet
A superb wine with an intense ruby red colour and a well-balanced nose that endows it with a distinct personality. Attractive and well-rounded on the palate, it has a faintly grassy flavour. A wonderful accompaniment for roasts, white and red meat, poultry, game and hard cheese. Serve at a temperature of 18°C, after allowing the wine to breathe for a couple of hours beforehand.

Refosco
From the vine type of the same name native to Friuli-Venezia Giulia. The garnet ruby colour shades into violet and the nose is very distinctive. The attractive flavour has a bitterish, slightly tannic, after-taste. Serve with the typical dishes of the Friulian kitchen, including game. Serve at room temperature, after allowing the wine to breathe for a couple of hours beforehand.
